Marketing Audits for Sarasota Small Businesses
You’re spending time or money on marketing. But can you tell what it’s actually doing for your business?
I run Eagle Vision Marketing, an owner-run marketing company with Sarasota roots. A marketing audit is a chance to step back, look at what you have, and figure out what needs attention before you spend more.
What is a marketing audit?
A marketing audit looks at how people find your business, what they see when they get there, and how they become customers. That can mean looking at your website, your messaging, your advertising, and the information you use to judge results. The scope depends on your business and what you need answered.
The useful question is simple: where should your next hour or dollar go?
Five questions worth answering
1. Can the right customer understand what you offer?
Your website should explain what you do, who you help, and where you work. People shouldn’t have to dig through marketing jargon to find out whether you can help them.
2. Is it easy to contact you?
Open your website on your phone. Can you find the contact details? Does the form work? Is the next step obvious?
3. Are the inquiries useful?
A pile of leads doesn’t mean much if they’re spam, outside your service area, or asking for work you don’t do.
4. Can you connect activity to results?
Clicks and website visits matter, but they don’t tell the whole story. Relevant inquiries, appointments, and customers help you understand what the marketing is doing. That depends on having reliable tracking and records.
5. Where are people getting stuck?
An unclear offer, a confusing page, and an unanswered inquiry are different problems. Spending more on advertising won’t necessarily fix any of them.
What should we start with?
Your website, the services you want to grow, the area you serve, and the biggest question you have about your marketing. If you have campaign reports, those can help too. We don’t need your customers’ personal information for an initial conversation.
What happens next?
That depends on what we find and how much you want to handle yourself. EVM offers marketing guidance, advertising, content creation, web design, and optimization. We’ll discuss the scope and price before you commit to work.
An audit isn’t a promise of rankings or a certain number of customers. It’s a way to make a more informed decision about what to do next.
